Apple and plum cake

For starters, peel the apples and cut them in half (we will get 10 apple halves hollowed in the middle). Do the same with the plums.

Fill each half of the apple and plum with a little butter and a teaspoon of jam.

Grease a tray with plenty of butter (leave a few pieces of butter scattered through the tray) and then line it with the 3 tablespoons of sugar. Place the fruits in the tray as follows: apples on the edge (with the toothpick up) and plums in the middle.

Put the tray in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees (apples should soften, but not porridge).

In the meantime we make the pandispan. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with the sugar until they double in volume and light in color. Incorporate the flour, lightly, from the bottom up. Beat the beaten egg whites hard, add them over the yolk dough.

When the apples are ready, take the tray out of the oven and pour the pandispan dough on top.

Let it bake, at 180 degrees, until the pandispan comes off the edge of the tray and passes the toothpick test.

Remove the tray from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes.

Turn the tray upside down on a bottom or plate and turn the cake over so that the bottom becomes the top.

Portion very well when cold.

Serve with pleasure.


Apple and Plum Cake

I kneaded until it became quite homogeneous.
Slightly coarser crumbs followed.

Apples peeled, shredded and diced. Plums without cut symbols are about the same size as apples. Mixed together, I placed them over the biscuits. It was a layer as thick as the edge of the dough. I put about 5-6 teaspoons of butter (50 gr in total) here and there and I put the dough, biscuits and fruits in the oven, in the already hot oven, on low heat for about 20 minutes. - that is, until I saw the soaked fruit.

I prepared the cream cheese, I mixed it with a fork.

I took the tray out of the oven and added the cream cheese.
Back in the oven in 30 minutes ... that is, until I saw that it was coloring.

I powdered powdered sugar mixed with vanilla. when it has cooled a little.


Cake with prunes

The prune cake is simple, delicious, easy to make and uses handy ingredients. It is a homemade dried fruit cake with minimal effort. If we want to do it with other dried fruits, we replace the dried plums with the same amount of other dried fruits, the preparation method remains the same.

We can use dried apricots, but be careful dried apricots must be soft, which also applies to prunes. If the dried fruits are stronger, we scald them with hot water and let them soften, as much as we can cut them with a knife.

Instead of ground almonds we can use ground nuts or hazelnuts, or just a little breadcrumbs. I baked the cake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius, my oven is on gas. Baking time differs from oven to oven. Bake the prune cake depending on the settings and the type of oven you have. Good appetite!

Ingredients Cake with prunes:

How to prepare (step by step recipe) the cake with prunes:

8. Sift the rest of the flour and mix the dough.

9. Finely chop 300 g. Prunes.

10. Mix the ground almonds with the prunes.

11. Prunes must be well rolled in ground almonds.

12. In the tray lined with greased baking paper - tray dimensions 27 cm * 25 cm & # 8211, spread about 2/3 of the dough.

13. Place the prunes on the dough.

14. Carefully spread the rest of the dough over the plums.

15. Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius, approx. 40 minutes.

16. After the cake with prunes has cooled, powder it with powdered sugar and cut as desired.

Prunes

Prunes from Prune Cake contain a complex variety of antioxidants that act synergistically to protect cells and their components from oxidative damage.

The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbency Capacity) test ranks them in the top of antioxidant fruits.

Prunes contain between 5770 and 6552 ORAC units per 100g!
Antioxidants are substances that protect the body against the harmful effects of free radicals.

Free radicals are known to be associated with the development of over 60 diseases, including heart disease, many forms of cancer, neurogenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, arthritis, stroke, allergies, chronic fatigue and aging.

The optimal dose of antioxidants consumed daily should be between 3,000 and 5,000 ORAC units (according to The Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture). In turn, the United Kingdom Food Standards Agency recommends a dose of approximately 3500 ORAC units (equivalent to "5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day").

Scientists and researchers claim that the body can effectively use only between 3000-5000 units of ORAC antioxidants per day. Any higher amount of antioxidants (an overdose in the form of food supplements) does not seem to create additional benefits for the body, the excess antioxidants being most likely eliminated from the body by the kidneys.

If a person only eats bananas, they should eat 2.4 kg of bananas to get the daily dose of ORAC!

After apples, plums are the most cultivated fruits in Romania (according to some sources approximately 40% of the total fruit production in Romania is represented by plums).

Fresh plums are only available for a short time during the year (late summer, early autumn).

Otherwise, throughout the year, plums are available for consumption in the form of dried fruit.


Quick cake with yogurt and apples

The children asked me to let them make a cake, so I helped them make this extremely simple and easy-to-make cake together. It is prepared in play, it is not pretentious at all and you have a delicious snack for the next days, ideal for breakfast, but also for the package.

ingredients

5 eggs
150 g of sugar
250 gr of yogurt
250 gr of flour
1/2 sachet of baking powder + 1 pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 apples

Measure the ingredients. Mix flour with baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

Peel the apples and chop them into the desired shape. Robert (4 years old) took care of chopping the apples and cut them into small cubes. But you can also cut them into thin slices and thus look more beautiful when you cut the cake.

Beat the eggs well with the sugar. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture. Then add the yogurt.

When the dough is ready, remove the mixer. Add the apples and mix lightly with a wooden spoon.

Pour into a pan and bake at 180 degrees until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.

Quick cake with apples and crispy cinnamon crust

ingredients
210 gr of flour

For the glaze:
30 g of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk

For this cake all you have to do is mix the dry ingredients & # 8211 flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda with cleaned apple and cut into small pieces.

In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: eggs, vanilla essence, oil and yogurt. And then pour the wet ingredients over the dry ones and mix gently, until everything is incorporated into the dough.

Pour the dough into the tray (I used a round tray, 21 cm in diameter) lined with baking paper.

In a small bowl, mix the butter with the sugar and cinnamon. Place the small pieces of this mixture on the dough and then spread it over the entire surface with a spoon or spatula.

Bake the cake for about 30 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test.

After it is cooked, take it out of the tray and let it cool. Then mix the powdered sugar with the milk and pour this mixture over the cake with a spoon.

It can be served immediately, but, as I said above, it is extraordinarily stored in the refrigerator and served cold.

How to prepare tart with caramelized almonds and plums:

In a food processor, chop the almonds, then pour them into a bowl over which you add flour, salt powder, baking powder and a tablespoon of cocoa. In a large bowl, mix the butter at room temperature with the brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing very well after each one, then add the rum essence. Using a wire or a silicone spatula, incorporate the flour and almond mixture. At this point the hot caramel will become hard and sticky due to the contact with the orange juice, mix with a wooden spatula the mixture in the pan and slowly the caramel will melt and turn into a delicious sauce. Add all the sliced ​​plums, pour over them the vanilla sugar and the 2 cinnamon sticks and let them all boil and bubble until the plums soften a little, this operation takes about 7, maximum 10 minutes with medium to low heat. Carefully add the cognac or rum, let the alcohol evaporate. Turn off the stove and marvel at the wonderful color of the topping and swallow dry. I sincerely advise you not to try to taste it because you might run out of it!

While the topping is hot, use a syrupy spoon to cool the almond top using ONLY half of the sauce formed. At first glance, it may seem like a lot of sauce. No, there is not much sauce, pour plenty of sauce over the thirsty top, you will see that it swallows a lot. After you have finished syruping with half the amount of sauce, place the plum slices on the counter, as beautiful and artistic as you can, that is. ruffled as ruffled as possible for a rustic look. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. When it has cooled, cut the cake into squares or rhombuses and dust with powdered sugar.

In the meantime, we take care of the filling. Put the grated apples in a bowl, add the sugar and cook on the fire for about 15-20 minutes.

Take the pot off the heat, let it cool and then add the cinnamon and plum jam. Mix well for a good homogenization. The raised dough is divided into 3 pieces. We also divide the filling into 3 parts. Spread about 1 cm thick sheets over which we add the above filling. We take care to leave a space of about 1 cm without filling at both ends of the rolls.

Roll, not too tight and bend the dough at the ends. Grease with oil and line a tray with flour, place the rolls next to each other and from place to place, at a distance of about 1 cm we make some notches (not very deep) in the dough. Grease with egg, sprinkle with sugar and put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 -40 minutes.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool and then remove from the pan. Place the rolls on a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and then cut into slices in the direction of the notches made in the dough.
