Dessert cake with semolina and almonds / Cyprus

In a bowl or robot bowl, mix eggs well with sugar.

Add the melted butter, then incorporate the flour mixed with the baking powder, semolina and ground almonds.

Mix well.

I added a little milk, because the composition seemed too thick.

Pour into a greased pan (20/30 cm).

Decorate with whole almonds.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: boil the water with the sugar for 3 minutes.

Remove the cake, let it cool for 5 minutes and cut it into portions.

Pour the syrup evenly over it and let it cool completely.
