Apple strudel

In search of simple and effective desserts, starting from the banal apple cake, I made this "strudel". I really liked it. I had a packet of thin pie sheets in the freezer, but until they thawed it took a while .... so I decided to prepare this delicious strudel with my mother!

For the dough:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lard
  • 200 ml of milk
  • a teaspoon of baking soda
  • 500 gr. flour

Filling:

  • 800 gr. grated apples
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 gr. ground nuts
  • tastes

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

METHOD OF PREPARATION Strudel with apples:

Put a saucepan with the milk and sugar on the fire. Mix until the sugar melts. Turn off the heat and add the lard, mix gently so you can work more easily with it. In a bowl put the sifted flour and the mixture. liquid. Mix lightly. Add eggs and baking soda with a teaspoon of vinegar. Mix until it forms a ball of dough. Set aside the dough.

On the fire we put the grated apples together with the sugar and some flavors. Let it harden a little. oven for 40-45 minutes on medium to low heat.

Decorate with powdered sugar!
